Almost a thousand flowers, leaves & grape clusters went into this creation! Most of them were royal as this version was made for a cake show (see trophy in background). It consists of a 16"x4" sq; a 16x2" round; a 9x4" hex and four 8x4" half rounds, all iced in buttercream. The flower vase topper is sugar molded (by hand); a 1/2 styro ball fills it and royal flowers, leaves & grape clusters on toothpicks along w/non-edible pearl strands fill it. There are fondant molded angels on the sides of the hex. The large scrolls are royal icing. Decorations used include: roses, lilies; grape clusters; & tiny apple blossoms, leaves and non-edible pearl strands. Wish I could remember the name of the lady who's book I used for inspiration....it is something like 'belflure' and her creations are really different.
