My little boy turned six, and we had a Star Wars themed party. I'm also posting a Darth Vader and an Ewok cake, so take a look! This Yoda was banana cake with a scratch caramel filling and caramel buttercream, with MFF ... SO tasty!!! All details MFF and a little gumpaste, and cakeboard done in royal icing. Thanks for looking!

That's amazing!!! Is he airbrushed to give the subtle shadings to his skin? And how did you marble the royal icing for the board?

No, I actually mixed green and light brown fondant and kneaded until they were not quite incorporated and you could still see flecks of both colors in it. The only drawback is that you have to get it all in the first try, because if you take things down and have to re-knead, the colors get incorporated more, and the overall color of that patch is different. For the cakeboard, just tinted white, blue and black, dolloped onto the board, and used a palette knife to swirl them around to my satisfaction. TFL!
