What was wrong with it that you had to rescue it? - What you did looks great!!!

Whoever decorated it at the store obviously had NEVER done it before. There was over an inch of frosting on one side of the cake and the cake showed through the frosting on the other side. Cake crumbs thoughout! Border was just a stripe of piped frosting. It was to be a white cake with red & blue accents. The red looked like a bloody mess and the blue was purple. I had to scrap the whole cake and refrost it. Fortunately I already had the color flow "mat" from doing another cake (it was an extra).
