Popcorn And A Television Marathon
Made for my sister-in-law's birthday. Even though I dowled the cakes shifted (so my bucket is all ferklepmt (sp?)). Bottom 4 layers are chocolate DH cake with mock Devil Dog cream filling (yuk) and then a layer of strawberry mousse covers that and is followed by 4 layers of pink champagne cake with strawberry mousse between (yummy). I like the way the popcorn and paper came out though. I was inspired by cookie_brookie's popcorn. I made the popcorn out of mini marshmallows cut up and squished together.
this is too cute.
The popcorn is amazing! It looks so real..great job.
i would have thought that was real popcorn!! great job!!
Thank you for the compliments!! :D Cookie_brookie gave me the idea for how to make the popcorn!
I can't believe that popcorn's not real...awesome job!!!
I don't normally like "food " cakes but this is fab !!
Thank you, MandaMoo and jules!
sounds delectable...and your popcorn looks so realistic!
I believe I used either both shades of Wilton's yellow gel colors or just one shade in two different strengths (I have Lemon Yellow and forgot the other one). I also used just a dab of watered down brown here and there, too.
Outstanding!! The pocorn and paper is unbelievable. I bet the cake was loved by all!!!
You're kidding about the popcorn not being real, right?? How did you get the buttery look? This is incredible.
