Princess Peach Cameo Gift Box

This is my first gift box cake after watching Sugared's Boxes and Bows.As mentioned in the DVD, always make a spare - my lid didn't dry enough, it was too weak to stand it up on it's side for a long period of time and I dropped it, breaking the bow a little! My dtr requested white cake with raspberry cheesecake icing. Princess Peach doll is a toy (wish I could've sculpted her). The pictures of Peach are just printed off the computer. I am a CSM. TFL

CSM: I can't say that I am a fan of this cake, I don't care for the color combo. I do like your roses look though (although the leaves are kind of droopy). th box part of the cake looks nice and cleans as well.

(Sugarshack, CSM is "Critique Subgroup Member"). CSM: I like your ribbon roses & yes, leaves could use more movement. Not fond of the color of yellow(?) or the bright blue, however. (Probably just a personal preference.) I think the doll looks too baby-ish with the grownup look of roses. It wouldn't be a bad design at all for a grownup vs a kiddo (sorry). :) For your 1st gift box, the corners, edges, box lid & bow turned out good.

CSM: I think your box is wonderful- nice sharp edges and your lid is nice and clean. I love the simple roses.

CSM: wonderful job on your gift box, I especially like how the sides come high to give a very realistic box look! I too am not sure of the colors, maybe the yellow could have been just a bit brighter to add a contrast against the roses (which look great!)

CSM: I think for your first attempt at this design this is great. I like that the sides are taller, giving it a real box look, your roses are pretty, too. I think the extreme brightness of the yellow on the doll detracts from the sweet look of your cake-sorry-but it's the doll, your cake is lovely! :)

CSM: I like this cake! The box looks great. The edges are nice and sharp! The blue looks like it matches her earrings from the picture. I also like that you used the biege to border the pics. Very cute cake.

CSM: This is a nice cake box. You did a good job. Your roses are very pretty. I agree that the yellow tissue paper could have been brighter. I love the twills!
