I made this for my husband's 30th birthday. He collects sneakers and this is his favorite. I carved it out of 3-9x13 sheet cakes and covered it with fondant. All of the detail work was done in either fondant or royal icing. This was my first attempt at a 3D cake.

Unbelievable, I can't believe this is ur first crack at a 3D cake you are very talented. Just out of curiousity did you use royal icing for the tongue tag details also?
