There was a small glass in to top of the volcano filled with dry ice - when we added water smoke floated out of the top and around the room - the kids went wild!

Awesome cake!!! What did you use for lava? I love it! that and the dry ice-- So cool!

Thanks for your comments. I melted red lolly pops for the lava, and dark chocolate for the underneath, or cooled lava. the dry ice I purchased from a local gas supplies store and it was really cheap - a great effect for a few dollars! :D
