My First Cake Ever!

My First Cake Ever! on Cake Central

First decorated cake I ever made (using the tips and such. I had done the whole "betty crocker messy cake" thing before). Winnie The Pooh pan for my niece's birthday. Just a plain white cake w/ wilton packaged decorating icing. Man is that stuff stiff! I thought i'd break my wrists by the time I was done!! :)

If you put 1/2 cup of frosting in the bag at at time it won't hurt your hand as much....you just need to keep adding frosting, but it will save your hands from cramping. If you think the icing is too stiff you can always add a little clear corn syrup to thin it a bit...but usually after holding the bag in your hand for a while it will soften up from the heat of your hand. Very cute job!!! I'm sure she loved the cake.
