This first attempt at cornelli lace wasn't great, but was just born out of necessity. I tried a new icing recipe and couldn't get it smooth enough so I threw on some mmf to cover it up...which maybe wasn't the best choice because there was too much frosting and it's kind of bubbly. But it's just going to get cut up and served before anyone sees it anyway so who cares! I love using those cakes to practice on because if I screw up no one cares!
