The cake followed the nursery theme of Guess How Much I Love You. I made a rabbit from royal icing and placed it on a two layer buttercream iced cake. I painted the colors of the rabbit with thinned food coloring. This was my first time using a royal icing figure.
I just made a plaque out of royal icing and then mixed brown food coloring and vanilla. I used a paintbrush to very lightly paint on the rabbit. Be careful not to put too much on your paintbrush or it will eat through the royal icing.

That is great. Looks just like the book! Really nice.
Very cute, bet Connor loved it!
OMG it looks like a child colored right on the cake! It's amazing how do you do that technique with the royal icing???
I love how soft and almost Beatrice Potter this is ---- beautiful, like a sketched watercolour! So nicely done!
