My friend and I decided to do a joint birthday party for our second kids--each turning one, but a week apart. So to celebrate, I designed a cake that was as unique as each of the kids. The cake was decorated with buttercream icing and fondant cutouts. From the north side, it was all blue and all boy. From the south side, it was all pink and all girl!
