This was my first time at doing a sculptured cake. I used a 50/50 mix of gumpaste and fondant for the blanket, head, feet, hands, teething ring and spilled milk with bottle. The worried baby is hanging on hoping not to slip through and his little feet are peeking below. The tubes are carrot cake covered with buttercream and fondant and it involved coloring, sculpting, shaping, forming and painting. I love doing cakes as it allows me to bring people joy and gets my creative juices flowing!
