Pet's tend to be considered more like family these days, and that was the case when my dear Peanut passed after just 5 1/2 years. He was the protector of not just my home but my children. We had a friendly gathering and viewed photos of him, and i made a cake for him. The water bowl cake was red velvet w/ cream cheese filling, buttercream icing for the water. The food bowl cake was chocolate w/ chocolate filling, and raisinets were used to resemble dog food. Bones were cut from fondant, and paw was hand molded from fondant also.
