You are all so kind! Thanks for the comments! I outline with a #1 tip. Sometimes when I'm lazy and don't feel like washing it from another color I just did I just use a parchment triangle bag and don't snip the tip off and it's small enough.

Yeah, the gold hearts are covered in luster dust. The actual icing color is the yellow you see in the cookie just below it (the little spot in the center of the cookie).
