The customer really wanted a white cake with chocolate icing. So I iced the whole cake in chocolate buttercream and then smoothed a thin layer of white buttercream on top.
You guys are so kind! I really had fun with this cake. I saw a similar one online a few months ago. Wish I could remember where so I could give credit.
I love this cake. I'd seen it somewhere before and wanted to do it for my surgeon, but I couldn't find it. I'm so tickled to see yours. You done such a good job on this. It's even better than the one I originally seen. Did you free hand the man on the cake? I would love to have your instructions for this if you wouldn't mind. CakesByEllie@aol.com
Wow did you free hand him? This is so cute! I had a "love/hate" relationship w/ this game as a child! Did you ice white buttercream OVER chocolate on the top? Or did you just do the sides in choc. & white buttercream on top?ashley.rovenski@gmail.com
No, I have never been able to credit myself with being able to freehand much of ANYTHING! Thanks to kopykake I don't have to!!! The whole cake was iced in chocolate and then I put a thin layer of white on the top over the chocolate so that the image would show up. I fully understand that love/hate thing with this guy! My 5 year old is learning that as well - except hers is with Shrek.
no, a kopykake projector just projects the image onto your cake. You put a 4X6 image into it and then you can either reduce that size or enlarge it with the projector lens.
