In community album: 2009 Pillow Cakes Contest
I got this idea from all the wonderful pillow and tiara cakes here on CC.    The tiara was made from spottydog's template.  Thanks spottydog for sharing that with everyone!  The bottom tier is covered in buttercream.  The pillow is covered in fondant.  The tiara is royal icing and the pearls are fondant dusted with pearl dust.  The pillow braid and border are fondant ropes twisted together.

This is one of the best royal icing tiaras I've seen. How'd you do that? I am familiar with the template but getting it that perfect without breakage.... :o

It is very pretty and befitting a princess. I love your softer colors. I love bright colors don't get me wrong, but somehow the softer colors are more befitting a princess.

Love it! Love it! Love it! How long did you have to let the royal icing dry before you could take it off the wax paper? I will be making a crown in the next couple of weeks for a cilient and would like to practice first! Thanks. :D
