I don't really know what happened to this cake. I had iced it the night before and when I got up in the morning, I started working on other pieces and then about 30 mins before I was going to leave, I opened the box!!!! I almost cried. I actually was trying to figure out how I was going to get a cake from the store. I did bake another bottom layer and pieced it together. It looked surprisingly good. I learned to check the cake first thing in the morning.
