I love the top and bottom border, how do you achieve that effect?

Thanks! the bottom is a D1 tip (I think) and just simple shells, the top is same tip with a loopdeeloo up and then a loopdeeloo down. That is what I chant when i do it so I don't mess up my loop order. Not sure how else to explain it. I used the same technique on my Valentine heart boarder.
