I made this cake for a baby's summer christening. It's a fruit cake on the bottom and a lemon sponge with lemon curd and cream on the top. I used a rose petal cutter for the the dresses and dusted them with pink lustre. That was the first time I'd piped onto a cake so made a template with paper so each swag was a fifth of the cake in case they didn't meet properly when i got all the way round.
