In: Romantic candle-lit...dessert? in album: 2009 Romantic Cakes Contest
I baked a cake in a jelly roll pan, frosted thinly w/ buttercream, cut out circles with a cookie cutter, spread choc mousse filling and layered several layers, then frosted the whole "candle" and covered with white chocolate and all the drippings are white chocolate. I put bday candles way down in the middle and lit them :-D I give total creative credit to Melissa043 and angllfish, who in my opinion have THE best looking melted candle cakes on CC! (check 'em out ;-)

They look amazing and you did a great presentation! I love how you put the candy hearts on the tray--like pebbles .

Thank you so much everyone. I actually started with 4 and used the 1st for practice...sshhh, it gave me a hard time so I had to leave it behind. To serve them, I cut straight down the middle and you could see it layered with cake, buttercream, mousse and so on.
