The fondant animals-copied from the party napkins-act as the pillars to hold up the top layer. I also created cupcakes to match. The idea for covering the pillars with the fondant animals is not my idea, my DIL found a cake she liked and brought me the picture. I don't know where the picture came from, but I thank that decorator for the inspiration.
