This was my throwdown cake for January 2009 (though I lost against sugar wishes' beautiful cake). The cake is covered in chocolate fondant and 200(!) gumpaste flowers. I made the birds from gumpaste and the hearts were piped in royal icing. I had a lot of fun dreaming up and making this cake.
