I scrambled to bake this for someone I had promised a cake on his 1st anniversary & I found out the day before. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong but somehow it worked out & I just love this cake and so did he. I got a picture of a medallion on Ebay. I cut the circle using a bowl as a pattern & then used a small lid to cut the inside of the circle. Used the Wilton alphabet cutters & dusted it with gold lustre dust. One of these days I'll get brave & use my airbrush.
