Though there is nothing fancy about the decoration of this cake, the real surprise comes in the type of cake I made it...Since it was Strawberry Shortcake, I wanted a cake to actually be Strawberry Shortcake...so I used a boxed Butter Pecan cake, make a layer cake, and in the middle put whipped cream and fresh strawberries...and then I made a strawberry sauce from fresh strawberries and sugar (and a little water) to pour over the slices...Lemme Tell ya...YUM!!!
