this is beyond belief!!! that looks like real dog hair that I would have a fit about getting into my food, let alone eating it off my plate. HOW did you do that??? Incredible! :o :o

Amazing! The fur is so realistic! His eyes and nose are so shiny, too! Are you sure this isn't taxidermy?????

OMG....this is the cutest dog cake I've ever seen! The fur is so freak'n realistic! How did you achieve that look....and how did you assemble him! Oh please tell!

There is nothing cuter than a scruffy dog... maybe a cake made to look like a scruffy dog. This is the best I've ever seen. CONGRATULATIONS!

Thank you everyone for the great comments. To do the fur, I used the grass tip which took awhile to do. It is all airbrushed. To assemble cake, baked one 6" cake and two pans using dome shape used for dolls. One dome was shaped for head, one for rump. 6" cake pan used for middle (cut in half) some used for paws and ears

Oh, yeah - she's gonna hate it. She'll think you are a horrible person for making a cake to look like her precious pup - and THEN EXPECT HER TO EAT IT !?! LOL! adorable.

I presented the cake to my friend today at work, she had a hard time cutting it. Some people wouldn't eat the cake because they said it looked to real. Made me feel kinda good tho....that my cake looked that realistic.
