I made a cake very similar to this for my DD and a friend wanted a cake like it for her daughter....covered in fondant and buttercream, with chocolate accents. I used a different brand fondant this time and it gave me tons of issues, so I had to add more stars than I planned to cover the problems, lol. Used the wilton star pan with a 5 inch round on top.
