Two 8" and two 6" and cut around one of each to make them alittle smaller. Rounded the top edge on each layer. The head was made like a huge cake ball I shaped into a snake head from the scraps. Thanks for the comments.

This is amazing! Did you pipe with a round tip, then? And did you stack the cakes first, then ice?

I stacked but did not ice the cake. I used a round tip to ice the rounds. It took quite a while to do this cake. Longer than I had expected. The customer was thrilled. The mother hired an reptile traveling educational show of some sort to come to her house for her son's birthday party.

I HATE SNAKES....but I LOVE this cake...I almost finted when I zoomed in to see what this was...very realistic !
