These flakes were all punched out of gumpaste with regular craft store paper punchers.  I rolled it thin (to a 7 on a pasta roller that goes to 9) and let it dry about 5 minutes on each side before punching.  After dry enough, you have a good (15-20 min?) window to work with it.

wow... did you dust the punch with anything to keep the gumpaste from sticking or was it dry enough you had no problems? these are tooo cute!

Nope, don't need anything to keep it from sticking... just the dryness is enough.
