I did this for a private fundraising event. This was 2 full sheet cakes and around 150 servings. The platform is 2 feet x 4 feet. It's essentially a three tier upside down wedding cake. The top tier(table top) came right off. The 2nd tier you could slide off the dowels and the 3rd bottom tier was bolted in. There was a 1 1/4 inch dowel through the middle to support the table. The card and chips are gum paste. It ended up transporting very easy and worked out great.
