Grooms caked done for a Saints fan, who was getting married on the weekend they were in the playoffs (unfortunately they didn't win...). 4 9" rounds, cut down / sculpted. Used fondant for mouth guard. Airbrushed on the gold luster dust.
AWESOME!!! My future sister-in-law just asked me to make a 49ers grooms cake for her wedding. I would love to attempt this, although I've never tried anything like this before. It seems like it would be pretty difficult to sculpt (and yours looks perfect). Do you icing between the layers and icing before the air brush. I would need to buy one of those too. Any instructions and/or tips you can give me would be greatly appreciate. Thank you! [email protected]

this looks awesome!!!!!!
That is so great!!!!
When you airbrush gold lustre dust - what did you mix it with (ratio) without clogging line
That was tricky! I did clog it - and had to clean it - twice! I ended up just adding more alcohol until I got it right. More is definately better.
Wow, love the cake! My dh and his family would love it... so sad they didn't win:( You did a great job!
BEAUTIFUL CAKE!!
I missed this! This is great Allison. Very neat and realistic.
was the cake all fondant? [email protected]
so wonderful, the airbrush is amazing. Do you mix the luster dust with vodka?

WHOA! Huge Saints fan here (live in LA) - I can't tell you how well that would go over at a Saint's Party! Going in my favorites!
