This was a halloween birthday cake. The two bases (10 inch & 12 in rounds) are covered in double chocolate buttercream. All is edible except for the moon and the armature for the spooky tree. The gravestones, wagon, skulls, bones & ghosts are gumpaste. The house is made of seven layers of cake, sealed with vanilla buttercream and the clapboard and shingles are fondant along with the rocks. The cake board is covered with rolled fondant and hand painted with thinned royal icing.

Thank you! This was the first time I had done a storyboard this large. It began to turn into the "never ending birthday cake". All the kids and parents loved it so it was well worth it.

You have put so much detail in this cake. Even the webbing in the tree. If I tried something like this, it would take me a week to even get close. Great job! :D
