This cake was for my cousin's Sweet 16 birthday. Her theme was Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night painting. I painted the cake freehand with food color and copied the painting as best as I could. I've never painted anything before, so this was quite an accomplishment for me. The bottom tier was was chocolate cake with raspberry cream and chocolate chip filling; the other tiers were chocolate cake with mocha cream and chocolate ganache filling.

WHOA!!!! Me, Hubby, and 16 yr old daughter are in awe of this cake! Hubby, whose best compliment to anything is "It ain't bad", said "That IS one awesome cake!"
