my first try with gum paste. i tried somebody's suggestions of using fondant mixed with gum tragacanth and i must agree that it hardens quickly, easy to work with and very predictable when using models. the father angel is the first trial and as you can see the hands look funny. the baby's hands are better as i'm beginning to learn from my mistakes. i am planning to change father's hands. btw, i will be using these figures for a Christening cake. the mother wants a cake with angel.
