Japanese Fan

The entire fan is gumpaste. The blades were made separately and then a large piece of gumpaste was attached to the front and back to give it a fabric affect. The branches were painted with airbrush colors and then the flowers were added. This was sitting next to the Courtship cake. From top to bottom, the symbols mean LOVE, HARMONY, HONOR
