My dad is diabetic, so I didn't want to make him an actual cake for his b-day, so I made him cupcakes instead :-) I kept it really simple, but it's also sentimental for us. Stories behind the "floppy orange hat and one oar, for instance. LOL He liked it :-) Key Lime cupcakes with lime cream cheese frosting, fondant fisherman and fish and fondant covered cake board.
