In album: barrel
I made this for a co-worker. I also made a mini one to take home to his wife. It was chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling. It was a big hit. Thanks to several others on cc for the inspiration! :)

This cake is awesome! Are the boards graham crackers? You did an excellent job!

The boards, duck, soap, and washcloth are all fondant. :)

How did you get the fondant to look so "wooden"? Wonderful job!

It's great, you did a wonderful job on your wood planks. I like the buttercream water and other accents too, they really go nicely with the fondant work.

Cute, cute, cute!

Thank you all, the "wood" is just 1/4 inch pieces of fondant/gumtex, I let it dry for 2 days, then scored with a toothpick, I then painted it with brown gel color and lemon extract. The clumps in the color are what give it a better wooden effect.
