I made this cake for my SIL's bridal shower. It was a his and her shower and I had used these same accessories and the sign on the invitation. The cake is buttercream with the accessories made out of candy melts and the sign is made of gum paste.

For the names I drew them out by hand on sketch paper. Then I traced over the names using clear acetate and then flipped it over so the names were backwards. I then used candy melts to outline and fill in the white and then I filled in the color. Last I used candy melts to make the stands for the names.

Too cute! How did you do the two-tone icing so perfect? I 've been wanting to try this but am afraid to smear it. Are the decorations made from molds or free hand?

For the two tone icing I just filled parchment bags with blue and pink. Then I just did two lines of each color all the way around the cake and used my spatula to smooth it. The decorations were all free hand. I printed out the decorations and then put clear acetate over it and then followed the picture below to paint them in the candy melts.
