I wanted to have a cake for my daughter's birthday at her kindy. The carers said they would prefer no icing and a plain cake. So this is what I came up with. The mini cupcakes are butter cake topped with a small dollop of strained apricot jam and sprinkles. I couldn't resist some sort of decoration. The iced mud cake was for the staff.
