This was my first wedding cake and the first time I made a cake covered in fondant. I was so nervous and spent a lot of time practicing. The bride gave me a picture of what she wanted and luckily she only needed it to serve 50 people. It is a 12 inch white and an 8 inch rum cake covered in fondant with fondant fruit painted with luster dust. I'm not sure if I am ready for doing wedding cakes on a regular basis especially with 5 kids under 9 and another one due in april. I can only handle a couple a year.
