This is a pirate ship cake that I make for my three sons birthdays. It is two 8" rounds cut in half and shaved to sit cut side up. I used a box mix and it was a nightmare! Too soft and broke into pieces well before the party. I patched it with frosting and held it together with the (new) tub toys. Ack! I laughed it off and called it a shipwreck. The kids all loved it!
