My first wedding cake! It survived 100 ml drive on 105 F degrees. I am very pleased how it came out, especially calla lilies - 70 pieces! The bride didn't want to cut her beautiful cake.

YOUR 1ST wedding cake. OMG you did a fantastic job - I'm so jealous. And 100 mile drive, I get nervous going around the corner with a cake. I probably would have been so nervous, I would have chewed my nails completely off!

Well, if that's your first wedding cake then I'd say it certainly won't be your last. Georgeous! And you brave soul driving all that way and in hot weather to boot! (The cakemaker cometh!)

Thank you all. This was a real challenge for me and let me tell you - I am more than happy it ended successfully. You all can imagine my stress level putting together and driving the four tier cake on that scorching heat. But, I have to say, I am looking forward making my next wedding cake. Lara3tech - the ribbon was dusted with opal tan luster dust. Kristina67 - calla lilies are one of my favorite flowers and I had a real one in front of me while making these out of gum paste. :)

This is really GORGEOUS! Well done - I hope she cut and tasted it ... it's a cake for goodness sake - all that trouble getting it to taste wonderful and then they don't want to cut it! :x
