Critique Subgroup Member: Very, very pretty. Really neat and very well done. The top border reverse shells look a little long. Otherwise, absolutely perfect. Excellent job!
critique subgroup member: WOW I am impressed with how insanely smooth your icing is!! your shells are great but they could have used a bit of shading to add a more realistic look. Your bottom border is great.. nicely spaced and sized, the top border is a bit ragged??
critique subgroup member: This is a nice cake. Your BC is soooo smooth. I think your scrolls are nice, but I see a few places where the icing "broke" or bubbled. The top border is a bit rough looking to me. I love the coral and graham cracker "sand."
Critique subgroup member: Is this cake filled?? Your sides are perfectly straight and smooth except for a bit of icing overload on the top right edge!! JEALOUS!!!! However, the startip you used for your borders is either way too small or the icing was too thick. Try a #22 or a #32 or better yet a #199 for the bottom shell border. One more thing, I love the graham cracker sand. Looks so real!
CSM: Very nice simple cake. Buttercream is perfect. If you force me to come up with one criticism, maybe I would say the scrolls look a little shaky. Other than that, I love this cake and am going to save to my favs. I'm from Florida and this is a great design for the many beach worshippers down here.
