This was my first ever mortarboard, tassel or diploma and it was for my nephew's high school graduation. Sheet cake is french vanilla, the bottom of the "hat" is devil's food, icing is btc except diploma and mortarboard; their fondant. I'm not sure why the top of the mortarboard dried so light but all in all it turned out OK and everyone loved it.
