Friend's mom made teacher of the year in her town so I created this apple shaped cake. This is my first carved cake so I hated it! lol. I started with trying to make a 3-D apple, but threw that away and just did this instead. It's 2 - 8" cakes with buttercream filling. Carved freehanded to the basic shape of an apple. Fondant covering, fondant stem, fondant leaf & fondant worm (he has glasses and a big smile, lol. She ended up loving it so it made this worth while!
