critique subgroup member: What a great idea for a coke lover. The shape looks good, but a little uneven at the bottom. The color of the "coke" is great. I would have liked to see red where you have the writing with the whit writing on top...to look more like a label. (but maybe old fashioned bottles didn't have labels so maybe that's a dumb suggestion. :oops: ) Overall I think it is neat and am sure it was a big hit! Good job.

I like the reflection on the bottle.

I remember getting coke bottles from an OLD vending machine (open the door, stick your hand in) and those bottles didn't have red on them...just the faint white writing. The cola color is great, too. The cake board accents the cake well. What a fun idea for the bday girl.

I used the wilton white icing thinner- works great when you want to paint in pastel colors as well :)

critique subgroup member: Great coke color! the shine adds a nice touch. the cap is what jumps out at me as being odd?? in looking at old coke bottles I didn't see any with that white cover, but maybe just not coming across the right pics? I love the added color to the board! overall, well done!

critique group member: Nice cake!! Love how you put the white on the cake to give it the "bottle look" effect!! My critiques are that the bottom of the bottle, the left side is not the same as the right and the bottle neck and top are kind of out of proportion. This is a wonderful cake, though!!
