This is the school cake for my son's birthday. Yankees cap is RKT covered w/ fondant. Thanks for looking. I am a Critique Subgroup Member.

critique subgroup member: your bc is just so darn impressive!! I don't see what some people were talking about- I don't think it's bare. It doesn't have to have a ton of stuff on it to look good, in my opinion. I like the simple design because it goes with the style of border you chose. If you made it too much more playful, your border may have clashed. That's just me though. You did a great job- only critique would be to clean up the vertical lines. :)

Critique group member: Wow this is great! The hat and baseball looke perfect although I think it would be better i they were both slightly larger so they took up more space on the top. Although there is a loot of blue on this cake mysuggestion would be to keep everything as it is and red stripes in between the blue ones.

critique subgroup member: This is really cool....hard to believe it was a rush job. I see some BC from under the ball near the hat and a few of the vertical stripes don't seem straight or consistent. The hat is really well done and the BC is AMAZING. I am sure this one was a "hit!" (couldn't resist that silly play on words.)

Critique Subgroup Member. I'm not sure "dull" is the correct word, but I wonder if putting more real pinstripes--a tip 1 or 2--around the cake would have added to the look. It would have taken a bit more time, but stripes can be quick, too. Cute theme.

Critique Subgroup Member: BC is fantastic! I love the hat and ball! I think if there was a bat lying in front of the two it would be perfect! :D

critique subgroup member: first off I have to say how incredibly smooth your icing is!!! how in the world do you get your sides that smooth!! I think the cap and ball are adorable, though it just may be lighting, it looks as though there is a chunk out of the brim by the ball??? I see you were time constricted, but I think maybe one more item (bat, or glove) would have given a little contrast to all the blue going on, but overall, I really like this cake!

Critique Subgroup Member: The ball cap looks great, although the lettering is a bit crooked. Scale of ball to cap is really good. Looks like your BC to attach the ball was a bit much & oozed onto the cap. Your BC is so perfectly smooth! I understand your rush and assume that accounts for the inconsistency in your borders. It's still an attractive cake & I'm sure your son just loved it!

Critique subgroup member: I can't get over your smooth icing! Okay your piped borders are nice. But I can't help but feel this cake is wanting in some area........the design seems "dull", but that probably is just me. Sometimes we can all have a "just a cake" day. LOL Your vertical lines are a bit squiggly also. But I bet your son loved it!!!!!!!!!!!
