Teacher Appreciation '08 on Cake Central

This was a bit of a rush job for the Teacher Appreciation luncheon at our Elementary school today. 10" round, everything fondant except for the ribbon border. Comments and constructive criticism are always welcome! TFL!

I love it! I have to do a teacher appreciation cake tonight and I may use some of your ideas, if you don't mind.

Thank you guys so much for the wonderful comments! t00precious - The cake was a 10" WASC with Sugarshack buttercream. For the apple I just rolled out a thick piece of fondant, freehanded the shape with a paring knife, smoothed the edges, and stuck the stem in with a toothpick. I just cut out a quick leaf and stuck it on there for more color.

For the eraser I cut out a thick black rectangle and used the side of my offset spatula to cut the lines about halfway to the bottom. Then I laid it on the brown and cut around it to make the base. Molly2 - I just rolled out my fondant and freehanded the letters iwth a paring knife. I was hoping they'd look a little more juvenile that way. :) Thanks again guys!
