this fishing basket cake was made for my dad who loves fishing! the cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and the lid of the cake is made from a block of chocolate! i used cholate buttercream to do the basketweave all over the basket and the added his catch, reel, floats and bits and bobs a fisherman needs! and i would have liked to do a few more but time was lacking! the lid of the box was held with dowels.
