Critique subgroup member: Your icing is so smooth. The idea is fun, but looking at this cake I get the idea you just started piping without measuring or layout your web pattern. There is some oddness in the connecting points in the front also. Your eyes are great. Push down your dot borders and get rid of the little points. Your board is well done. Hard colors to work with in red and black but you got the hue down pat. I bet your brother adored this cake and loved you for making it!

critique subgroup member: Nice job on spidey! How did you get such a deep red with whipped icing? It may be the picture angle, but it looks like the web on the sides are straight lines, maybe a little more curved would look more web-like.

critique subgroup member: I love how smooth your icing is, it's perfect! Your lines are straight, which is something I can't do. I do agree that the spacing could be better, and maybe the horizontal lines could be curved a little. I love the whole idea, it's really cute and simple, even if decorating it wasn't. Great cake ;-D

Critique group member: Very cool! I am sure he loved it! The only thing I would suggest is too have used a bigger cake board and then written "Chris" there instead of on the cake.
