This is a very dense pound cake carved into a ham shape. It is covered in green fondant and the black "etchings" are royal icing. The eggs are fondant with some piping gel brushed on to make them shiny. The fork is molded gumpaste around a bamboo skewer and inserted when dry.
I don't know about anyone else......but I'd say your rendition of the ham and eggs looks way better than the one done onthe Food Network Challenge......yours looks MORE like the cartoony sketchy like the book than theirs did! Awesome job!
